As of 27th September 2021 you will need to display a UK sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle when travelling abroad. Any GB sticker you may already have will need to be removed or covered.

You will need to display a UK sticker on the rear of your vehicle in all cases except where your number plate has a Union Flag (also known as a Union Jack) along with a UK identifier.
Plates with just the Union Flag showing will still need a UK sticker
However if travelling to Spain, Cyprus or Malta you will still need a UK sticker even if you have plates with the Union Flag and UK Identifier.
